EMPD arrests undocumented man, recovers stolen vehicle in Springs and Boksburg operation

EMPD officers made progress on two separate matters during an operation conducted in Springs and Boksburg.

The EMPD arrested an undocumented man and also recovered a reported stolen vehicle during an operation conducted in the Springs and Boksburg areas on June 15.

According to the EMPD, while conducting duties, a 24-year-old suspect was arrested for failing to produce any form of identification.

He was detained at the Springs Police Station.

In a separate incident in the Boksburg area, officers received information regarding a stolen motor vehicle.

“A white Toyota Land Cruiser matching the description was located abandoned in the Boksburg area.

“Vehicle checks confirmed it had been reported stolen. Relevant stakeholders, including the Local Criminal Record Centre, were summoned to process the scene,” the EMPD said.

Investigations into both matters are ongoing.
