Springs residents invited to join 5km charity walk and run in Selcourt

The Hello Spring 5km Walk/Run will combine fitness, community and charity as residents of all fitness levels gather in Selcourt to raise funds for a local cause.

Springs residents will have another opportunity to get active while supporting a local charity when the Hello Spring 5km Walk/Run takes place in Selcourt on September 5.

The event is being hosted by Hillcrest Pharmacy and Fitness Defined, following the success of their previous charity walk in July.

The 5km event will take place at 210 Nigel Road, and residents of all fitness levels are invited to participate by running, walking or jogging the route. The event is being held under the theme ‘Let’s move together for a healthier, happier Selcourt’.

The owner and pharmacist at Hillcrest Pharmacy, Alexia Radulovic, told the Springs Advertiser that the event aims to combine fitness, community and charity.

Radulovic shared that the proceeds from the event will go towards a local charity. A poll will also be conducted to determine which local charity will benefit.

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming the community to the race. The morning is about so much more than just a walk or run; it’s about bringing our community together while raising funds for a local charity.

“Whether you walk, jog or run, everyone is welcome. Come spend the morning with us as we celebrate spring, support local and make a difference together,” said Radulovic.
