Warmer temperatures expected in Springs after recent cold snap

After a chilly week that saw snow in parts of Gauteng, Springs is expected to experience warmer conditions, although mornings will remain cold.

Springs residents can expect warm weather this week. This comes after the chilly weather during the week of August 9, which left some parts of the province with snow.

According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), this week’s temperatures across the central and eastern parts of the RSA are set to climb gradually, reaching 24–28°C in many areas.

The weather service also indicated that in the coming days, fine and warm-to-cool conditions are expected.

Still, it will be partly cloudy along the east coast and the adjacent interior of the RSA, with isolated rain and showers possible in KZN and Mpumalanga.

The forecast shows that the area will have chilly mornings with warm afternoons.

Despite the expected heat, residents are reminded that winter is still in full swing and spring will be welcomed on September 1.
