Residents mostly choose Ramaphosa as possible new president

With the vote of no-confidence taking place today, (August 8), residents of Springs were asked: “If Jacob Zuma is voted out, who do you think is best suited to replace him?”

This is what they had to say:

Mike Smith (73):

“Jacob Zuma will not be voted out.”

Martha Malaza Jafta (49):

“It is time a woman rules the country. I suggest Skosazana Zuma as the best choice.”

Jurgens Minnie (58):

“Cyril Ramaphosa is the best candidate for the presidency.”

Zinhle Zwane (24):

“Skosazana Zuma needs to be the next president. We need a woman to take over the reins.”

Pat Aboo (71):

“Dr Makhozi Khosa is the best president candidate. If she sticks to her principals, she will be able to lead the country.”

Nico Pretorius:

“The appropriate president for this country is Cyril Ramaphosa.”

Lebogang Thomas (31):

“Cyril Ramaphosa should take over the reins from Jacob Zuma. He has a good knowledge of the needs of the poor and businesses.”

Wande Maritz (59):

“Skosazana Zuma will keep the country going.”
