Springs does it again

The Springs Advertiser team, Marisa and Dennis Williams, won last weekend’s race, scored 12 points and won R10 000 in Hirsch’s vouchers.

After fighting for the win against time, and 11 other teams on their heels, Marisa and Dennis managed to come out on top.

Last weekend’s lead took our teams to the Scottish War Horse Memorial in Kensington, where they had to complete various tasks including counting the steps leading up to the memorial, in order to try and score enough points to help them make it to the finals on September 21.

The results after last weekend puts the Springs Advertiser team in first place with 24 points, Brakpan Herald in second place with 20 points, and Southern Courier in third place with 17 points.

The three teams to get the most points by the end of the heat rounds will continue to the finals held at the Boksburg Rugby Club, in the form of a family fun day for residents from all over the East Rand to enjoy. The winning team on the final day will walk away with a trip for four to Mauritius, all expenses paid, sponsored by SA Reynolds Travel Centre.
