The security guard on duty at the business in Phoenix Road was tied up with his own shoelaces after three robbers entered the guardroom at 11pm on Sunday.
According to Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora, one of the robbers was armed and ordered the guard to hand over the panic button.
Two of the robbers left the room and the other robber stood guard.
“Half an hour later the guard noticed four robbers approaching the room pushing five tyre trucks,” says Capt Ramphora, adding that the robbers then took the guard into another room and robbed him.
The robbers got away with two Nokia cellphones, a Procell radio and an Opel pickup trucks keys.
No arrests have been made.
