On Friday at 12:30pm, the police arrested a man in Main Road, Springs Central, for being in possession of dagga.
According to Springs police spokesman, Captain Johannes Ramphora, the police received a tip-off and description of a drug dealer and followed him from a distance.
“The police did a stop and search action, found the dealer in possession of dagga and arrested him at the scene,” says Capt Ramphora.
The second arrest took place at 8:30pm, on Saturday in First Avenue, Bakerton.
Capt Ramphora says the police regularly hold stop and search operations and stopped at a tavern, where they searched the people for drugs.
“A man was found in possession of dagga and the police arrested him,” says Capt Ramphora.
Both men were taken to the Springs Police Station cells.
