Man shot in the back

A man was shot in the back on September 4 in an armed robbery.

At 2pm the Springs police received a complaint about an armed robbery and shooting.

According to Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora, on arrival, the found a while bakkie parked in Angola Avenue in Selcourt a with a man lying on the ground with a bullet wound in his back.

According to a bystander, ProSafe and ADT Security were on the scene within minutes.

Paramedics were already on the scene when the police arrived and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

“The robbers took money from the victim, shot him and fled the scene,” says Capt Ramphora.

No arrests have been made.
