“3 Walks of Life” art exhibition in Springs

The metro has opened its doors to art lovers who are invited to come and view life through the canvas at an exhibition titled “3 Walks of Life” which opened at the Springs Art Gallery this week.

The exhibition – a collection of exquisite art pieces dating from the early 20th century – features landscape, figurative, still life paintings, prints and selections of key artworks by accomplished South African artists from various generations. These include the work of Edward Roworth, John Lawson, Bettie Cilliers-Barnard, Pierre de Villiers and Nico Phooko.

Schools, universities, community organisations and ordinary members of the community are invited to experience the 3 walks of life exhibition through an educational and interactive guided tour. The tours promise to take visitors on a voyage of the evolution of art through the 20th Century to contemporary times.

It will run at the Springs Art Gallery from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to noon on Saturday, until November 29. Entrance is free.
