At 6:20pm on Saturday, a man stopped at a petrol station in Ermelo Road to put petrol in his car, when a green car stopped next to him.
According to Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora, two men jumped out of the car accusing the man of breaking into their car the same day and stealing their car radio.
“The poor driver tried to explain he is on his way to work when they started assaulting him and at the same time robbed him of his GPS and cellphone,” says Capt Ramphora.
The two men jumped back into their car with the stolen items and drove away.
No arrests have been made.
