In ‘Metro’s work left undone’ (Advertiser, January 9) a resident complained about the holes left open by the metro after fixing water leaks.
New problems have been reported to the metro due to another pipe burst that occured last Thursday that have left residents without water for more than 24 hours.
However, metro spokesman Thembe Gadebe says a contractor appointed by them is attending to the matter and they are still busy with the work and need to backfill.
“There are two other valves that they also need to repair. We are monitoring their progress and will finish off as soon as possible,” he adds.
