Quiz picked their brains

Cancer Care, part of SpringsCare, hosted a quiz evening on Saturday at the SpringsCare Community Centre.

Organiser Ashleigh van Wyk says it was a great turn-out with 100 people attending and so much fun.

The first category was music and 10 songs were played for 10 seconds and each team had 10 seconds to find the name of the artist as well as the name of the song.

She adds it was was really amazing to see how many people can take a game so seriously – with topics such as general knowledge, famous places, famous people, geography, history and music.

They also managed to sell a painting by Cecil Chapman that was donated to them, for R2 000.

Ashleigh adds once the evening had ended many people asked if this will become an annual event for Cancer Care as they had so much fun participating.

All the proceeds will go towards Cancer Care.
