Stock and sprint cars in action
A double dose of V8 action stock and sprint cars will be racing at Rock Raceway on March 8.
The very popular odd-looking V8 Lexus class will accompany the ringside action with rotary powered Super Midgets from the Balbi group.
Raceway spokesman Abie Sada says saloon car drivers will jostle for positions around the tricky race circuit and stock racing will also entertain those who like the contact side of motorsport.
The following categories will be entertained: Ninja Midgets, Micro Midgets, 125 Shifter Karts, 1600 Stockrods, 1660 Saloons, Pinto Class, Formula 2 Midgets, Balbi Super Midgets, Retro Rods, Super Saloons, V8 Outlaw Sprints, V8 Lexus, Formula N Circuit and stock cars.
Gates open at 10am and racing starts at 3pm.
Adult entry fee is R60 and children aged six to 12 years, R30.
For the Ice & Dice Street 2 Strip Drags on Sunday, gates open 2pm and racing starts at 3pm.
Entrance fee for adults are R60 and children aged six to 12 years, R20.
Refreshments will be on sale at both events.
