Oval drifting at Rock Raceway
Plenty of V8 oval action and stock car racing will take place at Rock Raceway on March 22.
Due to the unusual wet weather conditions, management has decided to move last weekend’s events to March 22 and 23.
“The powerful V8 thunder beasts will be in action together with more V8 roaring action from the very popular odd looking V8 Lexus class,” says circuit spokesman Abie Sada.
Similar features including the late models from the States and the antics of these daredevils will be in action.
He adds the ringside action will also feature the popular rotary powered Super Midgets from the Balbi group.
Ringside racing categories of Oval and Formula N circuit racing will be accompanied by the popular rotary powered Super Midgets.
The following categories can be seen: Ninja Midgets, Micro Midgets, 125 Shifter Karts, 1600 Stockrods, 1660 Saloons, Pinto Class, Formula 2 Midgets, Balbi Super Midgets, Retro Rods, Super Saloons, V8 Outlaw Sprints, V8 Lexsus, Formula N Circuit, and stock cars.
Gates open at 10am and racing starts at 3pm.
Embankment parking is available at R40.
Refreshments will be on sale.
Entry fee for adults is R60 and children aged six to 12 years at R30.
