Scuba diving and snorkelling is what two pairs of sisters are doing after winning the Caxton Reynolds Race last year.
Jenny Seaton-Smith and Kate Rheeders left on Saturday for Mauritius after they, as the Benoni team, won this race.
Jenny took her sister Lianne Burns with and Kate hers, Milla van Rooyen.
The Advertiser caught up with them on Friday when they received their air tickets, pocket money and other documentation for the trip from Irene Ferreira, a director of Reynolds Travel Centre.
The four were very excited about the six nights they would stay at Pearle Beech Resort in Mauritius.
The excitement struck her, said Jenny, when she packed her summer clothes on Thursday night.
She and sister Lianne also packed their scuba gear and were worried that it might be too heavy.
Kate and Milla said they would resort to snorkelling.
Jenny and Kate also said they were planning to rent motorbikes. With their sisters loaded on the back this will be the way to get to know more of the islands. They also plan to explore and discover the island’s beautiful trees and birds.
And there is also the market at Grande Bay they plan to visit.
The pair thanked Caxton, Reynolds Travel, American Express, TIC Insurance, Budget Car Hire and SAA for making this prize possible.
They also thanked their fans and family in Benoni, as well as the Benoni City Times for their support.
Jenny and Kate said they might be back at the next Renolds race to defend their title.
