Jen enjoys choreography
Some of her choreography will now be used by the UKDC-affiliated schools in South Africa
Jen Caldwell, a dancer of heatherBeeliners line dancing school is hooked on line dancing.
She enjoys it so much that she already choreographed several dances.
She joined heatherBeeliners six years ago.
“Within a short while I was encouraged to dance in competitions, for which I received three gold medals and three silver medals in the SA Masters competitions.”
She said 2013 was the highlight of her dancing career when she received her first gold honours for all the categories she entered.
The heatherBeeliners then joined the United Kingdom Dance Council (UKDC).
In June 2013 two judges from the UK did heatherBeeliners’ first UKDC grading. Here she was awarded the Cilla shield for the most achievements in three years.
“An honour I will always cherish,” she describes this.
Jen then decided to stop competing to do her teacher’s diploma with the UKDC.
She also entered her first choreography competition a few weeks ago, the UKDC Eastern Cape competition.
Some of her choreography will now be used by the UKDC-affiliated schools in South Africa.
She already choreographed several dances to pan pipe music for the new serenity class at heatherBeeliners, which starts in May.
She described choreography as something new and exciting.
Anyone who wants to join the heatherBeeliners may call Heather on 083 580 4756.
Their new intake will take place in June.
