Mrs UN finalist helps abused children

Part of her duties as a finalist is to be involved in community projects.

Mariëtte Kroukamp, a Mrs United Nations finalist, is assisting the Springs and KwaThema Child Welfare Society by collecting much needed funds.

This Petersfield Extension resident says the funds are to help the welfare organisation as they are in need of finances to enable the social workers to do their jobs in assisting the community.

Another subject close to Mariëtte’s heart is the mother and five children of the man who briefly appeared in the Springs Magistrate’s Court this morning.

“An amount of R21 000 is needed to pay a psychologist to assess the family, and before he starts with the process a deposit of R6 000 needs to be paid,” she adds.

She is involved in community projects which is part of her duties as a finalist in this beauty pageant.
