UPDATE: Mother awaits appearance
The mother accused of abuse in the House of Horrors saga has yet to appear in court
The Addie has been at the court house since opening this morning, but the woman has, as of 11am, not yet appeared not yet been called for her bail hearing.
She is due to appear in Springs Regional Court 2 before regional magistrate Bennita Oswell.
The woman, who was arrested last Monday, in connection with the abuse of five children allegedly by her and her husband, made her first court appearance last Tuesday when the case was postponed and she was remanded in custody at the Johannesburg Prison.
It is believed that, like her husband who was arrested a month before her for the same offenses, she will be charged with child abuse, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, defeating the ends of justice and attempted murder.
Her husband will also face a rape charge.
