Why not be a winner of the Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards?

Springs Art Gallery is one of the places where artists may enter for this year’s Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards.

Ekurhuleni Metro is the host of this contemporary fine art competition, which has a total prize money amounting to R100 000.

Artists that want to enter their art at Springs Art Gallery may do so from 9am to 7pm on August 19 and 20 or at the Katlehong Art Centre from 9am to 4pm on August 19. 

Entries may also be done at at the Coen Scholtz Recreation Centre, Mooifontein Road, Birchleigh North Kempton Park 9am to 7pm on August 19, 20 and 21 and at the Boksburg Library from 9am to 4pm on August 20.

Entries are R50 per artwork. 

The works of art must have been completed in the past 12 months.

This adjudicators for the competition are Pieter Swanepoel, Nontobeko Ntombela, Leanne Engelberg, Louise Kritzinger, and Richman Buthelezi. 

A selection of art pieces will be exhibited at the Coen Scholtz Recreation Centre from September 20 until October 12.
