Metro moves tree stump around in Selection Park

A tree stump is the cause of residents in Rennie Road, Selection Park's dissatisfaction with the metro.

The tree stump was removed from Knecht Avenue in May, where it was left for months, after metro workers cut down a tree and pulled the stump from the ground.

Residents Stuart McStay says the metro has sent contractors to remove a tree stump but instead they dumped it around the corner.

Residents in Rennie Road, directly opposite the railway line next to the railway bridge, keep the open field opposite their houses clean and also cut the grass.

McStay says there are two “no dumping” boards up there which obviously means nothing to the metro or the contractors.

A no dumping sign is ignored by the metro as they still dumped a tree stump there.
