Charnay is going to America

Charnay Rossi, a 14-year-old model from Strubenvale received the opportunity to be exposed to international talent scouts.

This schoolgirl from Hoërskool Dr Johan Jurgens, was invited by the Just You Model and Artist Management to participate in the International Talent Showcase.

This showcase, taking place in June next year, will provide Charnay an opportunity to be exposed to international scouts in New York and Los Angeles.

She will do modelling work before more than 100 casting agents for pageantry, runway model, photographic model and bikini fitness model.

She got this opportunity to go overseas after she participated in the South African Showcase on October 17 and 18.

She says she was approached four times this year before she decided to participate in the show of the South African branch of the International Talent Showcase.

Charnay has been participating in beauty pageants almost every weekend since she was three years old.

She decided to do modelling after walking past a shop where she saw models.

She received her training from Annette Dempsey from the modelling school Feature Models in Springs and is currently a junior teacher and co-owner of Feature Models.

Charnay cannot remember how many beauty pageants she has competed in.

She kept the 120 sashes of all the pageants in which she had won a place, but gave away a lot of the crowns she received.

It was at some of these beauty pageants where she was spotted by Just You.

Her dream is to follow the career of an international high fashion model.

Because she is doing drama as a subject from next year for the last three of her school years, she also hopes to expand her career to acting.
