Pink Trees campaign over
The Pink Trees for Pauline campaign has run its course for this year.
Tuttie Meadon from the campaign thanks the community who supported the campaign by buying the material and also others who did not necessarily buy the material from them but who also helped raise awareness for the cause.
The organisation also asks anyone who bought pink material if they want to donate the material back to them, they can drop it off at New Era Scrap.
If they choose to keep the material, they are welcome to do so.
“We will be using the material to create small pillows and handbags for the women of Reach for Recovery who have undergone treatment and surgery,” says Toinette Botha, also from the Pink Trees organisation.
Pink Trees will be removing their material from the trees they wrapped on November 8.
“Springs amazed me this year,” says Toinette, “watch this space.”
Tutti says they will be doing another Pink Trees campaign next year, but they are now also raising awareness for “Movember”, which is focused on Prostate cancer in men.
They are now selling their own designed T-shirts with a moustache printed on the front to raise funds for this cause.
The T-shirts go for R100 each and there are sizes for children as well.
They come in pink, blue and turquoise.
Contact Tutti on 082 921 5723 to place an order for the T-shirts.
