Now you see me now you don’t
The Springs SPCA's trailer mysteriously disappeared from its premises in Strubenvale on Sunday.
This 4m by 2m goods trailer was donated to them years ago and was recently painted blue.
It was only on Tuesday that the staff realised the trailer was gone after noticing the empty spot where it was parked.
They opened a case of theft at the Springs Police Station on Tuesday.
Celeste Kleyn, manager of the SPCA, says exactly how it was removed is not known, but she believes it the back gate, entrance to the premises from Townsend Street, Strubenvale, is not working properly.
This gate is only used for deliveries.
According to James Mmoa, who was on weekend duty and stayed in, he heard nothing.
Kleyn says they used the trailer to fetch dog food donations and to take their refuse to the dumping site.
She requests the community to be on the lookout and to call them if they see the trailer.
