Fabian speaks about Mr South Africa
He has been one of the 25 finalists who throughout the year worked towards the finals.
Fabian Frank, a resident of Springs learned over the past year to keep his dreams out of reach but never out of sight.
He was one of the 25 finalists in the Mr South Africa competition that was concluded on January 28.
The reality show leading up to the finals still has to be aired.
Fabian says he was not one of the 12 finalists that made it to the final night.
He has been one of the 25 finalists who throughout the year worked towards the finals.
Armand du Plessis won the competition, followed by Morne Marais as first runner up and Sibusiso Sibanda second runner up.
The other nine of the 12 finalists are now called the Mr South Africa 2014 ambassadors.
As part of the year’s work the 25 finalists had to complete tasks and do charity work.
Fabian says he experienced, as a Christian, an even greater presence of God throughout the past year as he, as a finalist, was challenged to not only make a difference but be the difference.
He has met a vast number of celebrities throughout the year.
“The one who really stuck was the recently departed Simba Mhere, who became a great friend of mine.
“So sad to see him pass on” says Fabian.
What he enjoyed the most during his time as a finalist was sharing the vision of the Mr South Africa brand and growing to love the challenges of being an icon and public figure.
“I learned to keep my dreams out of reach but never out of sight,” says Fabian.
And now after the conclusion of the competition he will chase his dreams in the business world at the company where he works, as well as at his two sport-related businesses, Fab Sports and Frank Football.
“I do this so I can use resources to change lives,” she says.
He also wants to bring events to Springs to promote social development.
