Three suspects pretended to be customers and robbed a tuck shop owner of cash and a cellphone.

The incident took place at Kwazenzele informal settlement on Saturday at 7am.

Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora says the shop owner was busy helping customers when three suspects entered the shop.

He says the armed suspects who pretended to be customers instructed everyone who was inside the shop not to move.

The suspects left the scene after taking an undisclosed amount of cash and a cellphone.

No shots were fired and the police are looking for the suspects.
