Clean drinking water floods down street

It is wasted each day from the water tower in Dal Fouché.

Hundreds of litres of clean drinking water, from the water tower in Dal Fouché, are being wasted on a daily basis.

Kobus van Deventer, a Springs resident says the water floods the street at least three times a day.

“This is crystal clear, clean drinking water,” says van Deventer.

He says the water flows down the street and dams up in a company’s parking lot which causes a lot of inconvenience for many people.

“How many families can this wasted water not have supplied, and because of this many residents in Dal Fouché are regularly without water in their houses.”

He adds that this has been happening for a year and nothing has been done to correct the situation.

The Addie has contacted the metro, but no comment has been received at the time of going to print.
