
At 3.30pm, Sgt Oelof se Meyer, WO James Russell and Const Jean-Pierre Nichols were conducting routine patrols when they came across five suspicious-looking men along Leeukop Road.
They stopped and searched the men, and allegedly found 6.5g of dagga in one of the men’s pockets.
Springs police spokesman Amanda Greybe says the man was arrested for possession of dagga.
The five men were unable to produce any form of identification and were found to be foreign nationals.
It is suspected they are in the country illegally, and were taken to the Springs police cells.
