Robbers use knifes to rob

Another success for the Springs police.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning the Springs police arrested two suspects in the Gugulethu Informal Settlement for the possession of stolen goods.

The police received information on the whereabouts of the two suspects who are believed to rob their victims at the railway line.

Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says the suspects allegedly use knives to threaten their victims.

When the police arrived at the shack they found the two suspects with three cellphones, curtains and the two knives reportedly used in their robbing spree.

The knife-wielding robbing duo was arrested and taken to the Springs police cells.

Ramphora says the suspects have not been charged yet.
