Bridge is now safer

The barriers on the bridge at Orpiment Road, Dersley, have been replaced by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

Ward councillor for the area, Ramesh Sheodin, requested the barriers be replaced for safety reasons.

“It is a very dangerous road, and without the barriers, drivers could easily land in the dam,” he says.

Sheodin says drivers must, however, still exercise caution when driving along the road.

He was impressed with the metro’s speedy response to his request.
