House at SA Epilepsy burned
A house on the premises of SA Epilepsy in East Geduld Road, Geduld was completely destroyed in a fire on Tuesday afternoon.
William Ntladi, Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Services spokesman, says they reacted immediately to the call at 5.20pm. But when the fire trucks and emergency personnel arrived at the scene, the house was well alight.
The house consisted of five bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge and bathroom, all of which were destroyed by fire.
He says it is fortunate that all the residents were in the supper hall at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is not known.
“No one was injured,” Ntladi says.
Springs police confirmed there was a fire.
Magdalene Kruger, SA Epilepsy director, who was not at the centre at the time of the fire, says they have an emergency plan in place.
