Accident claims six lives

Six people were killed and 12 injured in a crash on the N17 this morning, December 28.
Netcare911 responded to an accident on the N17 between Springs and Secunda.
The accident which involved a taxi and a truck, happened about 50 kilometers from the Dalpark Toll Plaza.
Twelve people were found seriously injured when Netcare911 and other emergency services arrived on the scene and began administering medical care.
Six people were declared dead at the scene.
The injured were taken to various hospitals in the area.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the police.
