Officers Louwtjie du Toit and Louis Els responded to a complaint of theft and arrived at the house at 9.30am.
On arrival the officers arrested one suspect with the assistance of the home owner.
Els says the suspect attempted to steal a bicycle.
They arrested the suspect and took him to the Springs Police Station where a case of trespassing and theft was opened.
The suspect will appear in court soon.
