Foetus found at Rietfontein Landfill Site
A foetus, of approximately five months gestation, was found dead at the Rietfontein Landfill Site on Monday.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says they are not sure when the foetus was placed on the dump or who the mother is.

A security guard informed a site employee about his discovery at 11.30am and called the police.
Ramphora says the foetus was found under a pile of papers.
Paramedics declared the foetus dead on the scene.

“We have opened an inquest and are waiting for the post mortem report,” says Ramphora.
