Capt Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs Police, says the victims were lying in bed when the man heard unusual noises coming from inside the house.

“Two suspects entered the bedroom and ordered them not to look at them, tied the man’s hands and searched the house for valuables,” says Ramphora.
Fleeing the scene on foot after a failed attempt to steal the vehicle, the suspects left with R24 000 in cash, four cellphones, a tablet and a laptop.
The man untied himself at 4am and contacted the police.

No injuries were reported.
The Springs police are investigating a case of house robbery.
