Suspect jumps razer wire fence with stolen TV

SAPS arrest man in possession of stolen goods he robbed from a house.

A 28-year-old man was arrested while jumping over a wall in Laingsberg Road, Eastvale on Friday.

Two police officials were on routine patrols at 10.45am, when they received a message of a house robbery in progress.

Sgt Oeloff de Meyer and Const JP Nichols responded to the call and, as they parked the police vehicle, they noticed the suspect jumping over the wall with a TV on his shoulder.

“The policemen chased the suspect and managed to catch him,” says Ramphora.

During the chase the suspects dropped the TV which was recovered.

Police also confiscated a kitchen knife, a DSTV decoder, a pair of pliers and two electronic plugs.

The suspect was taken to the police cells where he will remain until his court appearance.
