Rotary Club of Springs plants trees at Vita Nova

A fun Sunday morning as Rotary members all planted trees at the Vita Nova Centre.

The Rotary Club of Springs planted 11 fruit trees at Vita Nova Centre on Sunday.

There were lemon, peach, fig, nectarine, apricot and grenadilla trees.

President of the Rotary Club of Springs Siobheanne Landsberg says each of the members had one tree and planted all of them throughout the centre.

Cheryl Havenga, also from the Rotary Club of Springs, says part of the aim of the project is for the residents to take care of the trees.

“Rotary will be checking up on the trees every few months to fertilise and prune them,” she says.

“A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Springs for planting 11 fruit trees at Vita Nova Centre,” writes Michelle Immelman, Vita Nova director.

“You are all so special.”
