A couple was attacked at a house in Pollak Park and the man was shot in the head on Thursday around midnight.
The couple was asleep when they were awoken by a noise outside.

Capt Johannes Ramphora says when the noise stopped, the man opened the door and found about three suspects [the complainant is not sure about the exact number of suspects] pointing firearms at him.
“They came into the room and one of them fired a shot at the man, shooting him in the head and demanded the woman give them money,” he says.

They took her wallet, three cellphones and a TV and fled the scene in the man’s black BMW.
The victim was taken to Life Springs Parkland Hospital and was transferred to Far East Rand Hospital.
A house robbery case was opened.
