Casseldale crèche makes waves with their tiny drummies

The Tiny Drummies first performance was at the Cosmos Carnival last weekend.

The Tiny Bubbles Crèche has revived a marching band at the school.

The band is made up of learners from the Casseldale crèche.

“Our principal, Tessa Smith, said the drummies were quiet and that we should revive them.

“It has been a great experience and it’s nice to work with the children,” says teacher Marjie Jeacocks.

Since the children have started performing, their confidence has grown and they are loving every moment.

The parents’ response was positive and the crèche would love it if other schools also did the same thing so they could compete against each other.

For now, the Tiny Bubble Drummies, as they are known, are practising their new-found skills and had their first performance at the Cosmos Carnival last weekend.

Children from other crèches are welcome to join the band.
