Dal Fouche’s Bianca Birnie does good work in the Democratic Republic of Congo

“I also took along some medication, cotton wool and bandages with the help of a local private hospital that donated these goods,” says Bianca.

Bianca Birnie, who was crowned as Mrs Glamour Africa, recently came back from a life-changing to trip to Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Bianca (37) says this all started in 2014 when her friend Janet Potgieter, who was the then Queen of Africa, started taking regular trips to the Congo and invited her to come along.

“What Janet realised after a few trips was that these women had no underwear or sanitary products.

“So this year when I had a panty drive I collected 480 panties in three months and 120 Dignity Dream packs, these are reusable sanitary products.

“The trip really opened my eyes, we have so much to be thankful for.

“I always do a lot of charity work and I never worry about my own life, I always try to change one person’s life at a time,” says Bianca.
