Gugu Malaza suspended as CFO
Malaza has been suspended pending the finalisation of an investigation into alleged non-disclosure of information regarding her dismissal from the South African Broadcasting Corporation as required by Regulation 11 of the Systems Act of 2000.

Last Thursday, the Ekurhuleni Municipal Council announced the suspension of Gugu Pride Malaza, who was the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the metro.
On Friday, Dr Imogen Mashazi, the city manager, issued Malaza a letter, requesting her to provide reasons as to why she should not be suspended.
Upon receiving a response, the city manager found there was no basis for her not to be suspended and Malaza was suspended effectively on Monday.
