You dont have to stand in long queues to check your voting status

This weekend, January 26 and 27, marks the final deadline to register to vote in the national elections.

But you do not have to wait until then.

The IEC website gives you the option of checking if you are already registered, and changing your voting district in case you have moved, in the comfort of your own home or office.

The process is quick, easy and painless.

You will be done quicker than you can say ‘Independent Electoral Commission’.

New voters need to go to the voting stations to register.
