Springs AfriForum clean up 4th Avenue eyesore

Springs AfriForum worked through the rain on Saturday morning cleaning up the eyesore corner on 4th Avenue.
The site, which used to have the old Spar, has been neglected by the metro and has become a dumping ground and attracts vagrants to the area.
Springs AfriForum chairman Cornel Swart says they were just doing their bit to help the community.
“All grass has been cut and we took all the rubbish away.
“We might not be able to clean the place perfectly but it will look 100 per cent better,” says Swart.
They were supported by Springs Plumbing Supplies who brought them refreshments while they were working. The owner of Yamin TakeAways thanked them for what they were doing.
