A surprise attack on a group of friends on the N12 Etwatwa off-ramp last Thursday evening left one man dead.
The friends were attacked after they came to the off-ramp to help the victim’s father after the truck he was driving broke down.
The victim’s father unloaded the truck that was full of bricks and took them home.
While he was gone, the group of friends were attacked by five suspects, which left one of the friends dead.

When the father returned to the scene, he was also robbed of his cellphone.
A forensic officer from the government mortuary took the victim from the scene.
