Motorists are reminded to be vigilant when on the corner of Third Street and Second Avenue.
This comes after an increase in the number of smash-and-grabs at the intersection.
Eyewitness Jabzen Jabs says: “When cars stop at the traffic light they check if your window is open then they come and snatch your phone, bag or anything of value they see and run off.
“They know you will never leave your car in the middle of the road to run after them; this has been happening for months now,” says Jabs.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora confirmed there has been an increase in the number of incidents.
“Motorists must not be careless and leave their goods on the seat of their car.
“The best thing to do is lock away your valuables in the boot of your car,” says Ramphora.
