The metro has announced through SMSs that the Energy Department will be carrying out a patch update on the Electricity Prepayment system from June 22 at 2pm to June 23 at 2pm.

The metro’s spokesperson Themba Gadebe says, “Customers will not be able to purchase prepaid electricity units during the upgrading period.
“The metro would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
