Business robbery in Holfontein

The suspects spent approximately five hours on the crime scene before leaving.

 

Approximately 30 suspects stormed into a Holfontein business on Sunday evening and got away with goods valued at R130 000.

Three armed suspects initially entered the business and tied up the three security guards that were on duty with shoelaces.

Thereafter, between 20 to 30 suspects, with one Mercedes Sprinter kombi, Toyota Quantum and a four ton truck, entered the premises.

Suspects then disconnected cameras and the alarm system and forcibly gained entry into two storage facilities and loaded 17 pallets containing Excella fish oil and six batteries into the truck.

The suspects spent approximately five hours on the crime scene before leaving.

There were no injuries reported and no shots fired during the robbery.
