Man hijacked while closing gate in Welgedacht Road

Fortunately for the victim, his car was later tracked down in Brakpan.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says a man was hijacked on Welgedacht Road last Friday evening just after dropping his brother off at home.

The 28-year-old man had just arrived home and while his brother was closing the gate, he saw three suspects approaching his car.

One of the suspects, who had a firearm, opened his door and started searching him.

They then made him lie down and brought his brother to lie down next to him and instructed the pair to not look at them.

The suspects then drove off with the car, leaving the brothers unharmed.

Fortunately for the victim, his car was later tracked down in Brakpan.
