
A man is lucky to be alive after suspects shot at him during a house robbery in Selcourt last Friday morning, says Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.
The man and his wife were awakened by the sound of barking dogs and a window breaking.
When the couple went to the living room, they saw three suspects, with two already in the house.

The suspects were armed with a 9mm pistol and fired two shots at the homeowners, which missed them.
The owners ran back to the children’s bedroom and stayed there until it was quiet.
Suspects got away with a laptop, a flat-screen TV, two cellphones and a gaming console.

Items were valued at R25 500.
The couple called the police once the house was quiet and it appeared as though the suspects were gone.
