Armed suspects rob health care centre

The doctor was busy attending to a patient when a suspect entered the room, pulled up his shirt to reveal a gun and ordered the doctor out of the room to reception.

A health care centre in Nigel Road was robbed by two armed suspects on Tuesday afternoon, says Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora.

Once there, the doctor noticed another suspect, who also had a gun. The suspect pushed him and other patients and staff to the floor.

According to other witnesses, there were three suspects in total, who took a laptop, four cellphones and R1 000 in cash.

Victims were locked in a toilet which was kicked open by fellow employees working in an outside building.

Suspects were casually dressed, speaking Zulu and English.
