Tsakane – Tsakane police are warning residents about the increase of car hijackings in the area and are pleading for safety this festive season.
Tsakane police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu shared some tips to be safe while on the road.

• Motorist should be aware of their surroundings all the time in order to notice if they are being followed.
If notice that you are being followed, drive straight to the police station or call your neighbours and ask them to wait for you in the street.
• Do not park on the pavement during the night.
• Do not park in the parks or isolated areas during the night.
